We are excited to announce Impact Jiu Jitsu’s newest affiliate, Daynin Dashefsy with Kahala Jiu Jitsu in Honolulu, Hawaii. Daynin is the owner and head instructor of the very first and only female-owned Jiu Jitsu school in Hawaii. In just two and half years, she has grown her academy to be more than 100 members strong.
Born and raised in Hawaii, Daynin has been training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu since the beginning of 2001. She started her training under Jason Izzaguirre at Gracie Kailua. After moving to Kahala, she transferred to Hawaii Kai Jiu Jitsu as a purple belt and trained under Ron Huxen for the past seven years before opening Kahala Jiu Jitsu.
Outside of Jiu Jitsu, Daynin is a single mom of two daughters. She is a motivational speaker focusing on empowerment and entrepreneurship, specializing in working with inventors and entrepreneurs. Daynin is also the founder and head instructor of “Hawaii Biz Kids” where she teaches children ages 7 to 15 how to start and run their own businesses.
Daynin kicked off her affiliation with a visit to Impact Jiu Jitsu in August where she taught a seminar, “Think Jiu Jitsu”. Next time you are in Hawaii, visit Kahala Jiu Jitsu (link to http://www.kahalajiujitsu.com/home.html) at 1215 Center Street, Suite 220, Honolulu.
