IMPORTANT MEMBER NOTICE

Monday, March 16, 2020

Dear Teammates,

Given the Governor’s new orders on social distancing, we have made the decision to temporarily close Impact Jiu Jitsu in Beaverton and Clackamas, effective Tuesday, March 17. The Governor’s orders, including restricting all restaurants and bars to take-out or delivery only, and banning gatherings of 25+ people, are in place for at least four weeks. We plan to follow the same timeline, but will continue to watch for and post updates as needed.

You are likely wondering about your monthly tuition payment. Currently, we are asking students to consider keeping their tuition active if it doesn’t create a financial hardship for them. This will help us in the short term to cover the academy’s fixed expenses and keep Impact Jiu Jitsu strong for the future.

We have online content available for all students who continue to pay their monthly tuition, and we will continue to add lessons daily. See instructions at the bottom of this email on how to access this information.

Furthermore, once health concerns have ended, we would like to offer the generous students who paused their training but not their tuition, a complimentary small-group private lesson with Michael Chapman, Tracy Chapman, Andy Wong, Kurt Shrout, or one of our other coaches (we will have a full list of available instructors soon).

All that said, we do not want to create a financial hardship for any of our members, and we understand that these social distancing measures may affect many people’s livelihoods. If you need to pause your tuition, please email Tracy at tracy@impactjj.com.

Thank you for your membership at Impact Jiu Jitsu! We will get through this together; hopefully quickly and in good health.

We are wishing all the best to you and your family,

Michael and Tracy Chapman
