Daryl began boxing in 1992 which prompted an interest to continue into Muay Thai in 1994. His Brazilian Jit Jitsu training coincided with his debut as an Amateur Mixed Martial Artist in 2004. He found himself competing inside the cage for the next four years and entered into a Professional MMA career in 2008. He received his black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu from Michael Chapman in 2016.
