Come learn from American pioneer in Jiu Jitsu, Chris Haueter. A seminar by Professor Chris Haueter is like no other. His wealth of knowledge and experience, paired with his personality and color commentary, make for a totally entertaining learning experience.
Who is Chris Haueter… The Man, the Legend?
Original member of the “Dirty Dozen” (first 12 non-Brazilian recipients of the BJJ black belt), Chris has pursued martial arts since childhood. He started his study of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in late 1988, taking Brazilian Jiu Jitsu lessons in Rorion Gracie’s garage. It was there that he met Rigan Machado. The hook sank deep with the very first “roll” on the mat with Rigan. In the years since, Chris’ involvement has been total. It was 1996 when he became one of only a handful of Americans at the time to hold the coveted black belt in this elegant and highly technical art. Chris is coach to many, and has awarded several Northwest-based Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioners with their black belts, including Impact Jiu Jitsu’s Michael Chapman and Nemesis Jiu Jitsu’s Eric Hemphill. Chris’s humility mixed with his passion for the science of Jiu Jitsu makes him one of the best Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and submission grappling instructors in the world.
