Michael's training in various martial arts started in 1984. He holds a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Chris Haueter (the Machados), was a member of the first SBG ICC class, and a brown belt in Kung Fu. He also trained shoot wrestling for a year and a half in Japan. Michael began training with the Straight Blast Gym in 1996.

Philosophy
I have always enjoyed fight-training and constantly strive to improve my skills and the skills of the fighters I coach.
